Landscape :::
A tribute to the artist "Giger" who I have always been compared to, even before I first saw his art. I do remember my intoduction to his works, my dad brought home a copy of "OMNI" magazine that Giger had an illustration in when I was about 12. He said, "This guy draws like you", which was a reference to my strange style (even then) not my skill...

After doing a little reading about Giger, I found that his mothers maiden name is Meier, so I started to dream that we had some sort of blood connection. I probably wanted to first try the airbrush because of him, with the thought of one day showing up at his door with my paintings under my arm "Hi, it's your second cousin Meats, and I am an artist, too" in the back of my head. I never wanted to be Giger, I just wanted to have some of what he has - a job doing what he loves and the knowledge and skill needed to create the things that I see in my head.
