Orphaned

I was hired as a Technical Director at the Orphanage
in San Francisco, and am leaving Salt Lake City tomorrow morning. I was
somehow lucky enough to not only land a position with one of the
coolest VFX studios in the land, but also to be able to remain a
generalist in my work. I was scared that I would end up being forced
into specializing in something while the rest of the 3D world faded
from my brain. It will make it possible for me to not only continue
learning, but at a much faster rate. It will be interesting to me to
see how my style changes as I enter a new (more accepting and exciting)
environment, and work with talented artists every day…

I have a rented truck with my motorcycle and my computers in the back all ready to go.

Sorry, might not be able to get back to emails for a few weeks…..but really not all that sorry

on the creation of this image that was included in this issue.

"Meats

?deesse nature? pour illustrer la couverture de ce numero hors-serie."

work pushes the boundaries of imagination, talent, and today’s
software. Taking the viewer into the realm of the impossible, his use
of computer graphics, or CG, and live footage will trick and amaze you
as you try to decipher just what is CG and what is “real”.
